Summer's Glory

Start with a glorious sunflower for inspiration . . .

Gather a bunch for unapologetic delight . . .

Add a rich, blue plate for contrast . . .

Make it a calico plate, smothered with wild flowers . . .

Simple burlap bows to tie the napkins . . .

And the napkins must be yellow, the color of ripe corn . . .

Flatware that evokes unfurling flowers . . .

A pretty glass, as blue as the summer sky . . .

A wheelbarrow to hold the salt . . .

The days may be getting shorter . . .

But summer is still alive with possibilities . . .

We may as well enjoy it . . .

The calico plates are lovely, I always loved calico! Very cute idea the burlap bowls for the napkins and the best combo is blue with yellow touches. The ittle wheelbarrow is the most adorable touch here...I'm loving it Maria.

Maria, This is wonderful!! I love those dishes (have a few myself--does that surprise you?) and of course that flatware too which I find to be so versatile. But with the sunflowers it is just so incredibly beautiful!! Blue and yellow together are so perfect. This is one of the prettiest tables and I would love to sit there with you. Linda

Love the use of the yellow bouquet is the pretty container as a centerpiece. The yellow napkins caught with the burlap bow is the perfect complement to your tablescape. I love using blue calico with yellow and yours is so lovely. Have a wonderful weekend.

Maria,
I love this tablescape! Nothing says summer quite like sunflowers. You did a fantastic job in designing this tablescape! I work for online linen retailer, LinenTablecloth, and I was wondering if you wanted to collaborate on a tablescape. Feel free to shoot me a message at daniel.tappan@berrettbrothers.com. Can't wait to see more tablescapes!
Best,
Dan
