Happy Easter!

My children's schedules continue to be as crazy and unpredictable as ever, so this year we celebrated Easter with an early morning breakfast.  The table was set the night before . . .

First thing first:  My husband/sous chef checking e-mails before heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast . . .

Some pretty egg-shaped salad plates in soft pastels . . .

The soft paisley green napkin by Ralph Lauren goes on top . . .

These fun hopping bunny napkin rings appeared in last year's Easter table, too.  Click here to see that post.

I love all the different textures on the table, the homespun squares on the tablecloth . . . the bird's nest chargers . . .

Beautiful tulips . . . Spring is here!!!!!

Then the Easter bunny did his thing and filled the table with candy!

He even brought chocolate umbrellas and hung them from the flower vase . . .

Here are our two “little” boys, who never seem to grow too old for candy . . .

And now, Mama can sit down and have a cup of coffee . . .

And before long, my oldest goes back to college with a batch of cupcakes for his buddies . . .

Happy Easter to my family and friends!  God bless you!  The Lord is Risen!  Alleluia!

The Lord is risen indeed! What a beautiful table layout. I loved everything about it. Never seen egg shaped plates before! Everything was just perfect. I love it that you are still doing this, even though your boys are all grown up!

Hi, sweet Maria!!! Your son's friends are going to LOVE you for those cupcakes!!! College kids know good bakin' when they eat it, PLUS yours look so pretty! That's a sweet gesture on your part!

It's neat of you to share your Easter Sunday family photos with us! Your husband looks like the actor Chris Parnell. (Currently on "Suburgatory"...used to be Dr. Spaceman on "30 Rock".) Does he get told that a lot? You guys looked totally relaxed and happy to be sharing the day together!

Your table was so pretty and SO rockin' with candy!!! We didn't eat so much as a single jelly bean! What's up with that?!??!? I'm must be slipping! Happy Day-After-Easter!

You are definitely the holiday house. I recognized those plates from the Pottery Barn store (spent time there while shopping Saturday - concluded we have too much "stuff" in our house as it is, so I bought nuffin. Bummers!)

You are correct that children at never too old for Easter candy - though I didn't send any to Allyson this year because she is working so hard to stay in shape.

Happy (belated) Easter!
