Tea Bread Tuesday: Country Applesauce Muffins

Uh . . . nope. Didn't like this one. Too dry. Eh . . . I'm done with apple breads . . . Apple pie: yes . . . Apple turnovers: yes . . . Apple juice: yes . . . Apple bread: not so much . . .

Fortunately, Creepy and Spooky are back . . . and they have voracious apetites!

Don't you hate when you look forward to something and it just doesn't turn out? Well, I hope you don't give up totally on apples. I made this wonderful apple cake the other day. Here's the link to the recipe. http://mayamade.blogspot.com/2009/10/my-grandmas-one-bowl-apple-cake.html
I hope you try it because it is wonderful!!
Anyway, either way, I love your food posts. They always look delicious on my end! :)

Wonder if an extra egg or store bought applesauce might moisten them up some - they sound like they should be yummy. Bummers! Creepy and Spooky and too cute to be 'creepy' or 'spooky'.

Lucky Creepy and Spooky. . . I'd eat them too! I bet the muffins at least smelled wonderful while they baked. . . but maybe that added to the disappointment when they didn't taste as good as you hoped.

About the calphelon. .. Bed, Bath, & beyond's coupons for 20% off NEVER expire, so I combined that, with their current calphelon sale including a dutch oven with an entire set, plus the store special of a $50 gift card with purchase. . . and it was a great buy! So Dianna needed pots and pans for her apartment, and I had the perfect reason to buy myself the set! I'd never gotten a good set of pots and pans before, only cast offs from where ever, or sad, Target non-stick pans. These pans are so worth the money!
