The reinvention of an old favorite

How do you jazz up a good ol' peanut butter and jelly sandwich?  Try switching to almond butter . . .  Less fat, more calcium, more deliciousness . . .

Add a different jelly . . .  It is a well known fact that Cubans have guava running through their veins . . .

Oatnut is a really nice bread . . . Say "Oatnut" three times fast . . . Now try it again with a mouth full of almond butter . . .

Cut the sandwich, for Pete's sake!  It'll only take a second!  And please cut it in thirds . . . after all, we are trying something different, right . . . ?

There now, all we need is a nice cup of tea . . .

Now, what kind of tea . . . ?

I like the way you photographed the sequence which you made the sandwich. I heard almond butter was good now I am going to have to try it after seeing these. I wonder if I would like guava? I will let you know.

Mmmmmm--just what I need to read before breakfast! Maybe I need to try some almond butter; I hadn't realized it was lower in fat than peanute butter (but then, aren't most things?)

I am going to put this on my grocery list. I am glad you posted this because when you told me about it I thought I would try it and then I forgot about it.

Hello my friend! You are always good for cheering me up when I need it! I've been practicing saying "Oat Nut" three times for two days now, but still unsuccessful...see, I've been stalking you but I promise to leave a note next time. I'll take the piece in the middle please. Linda

Clearly going to have to hunt for almond butter - but my husband is on a coupon kick and I seriously doubt I'll find one for this.
