Valentine's Day - A Simple Dinner

It's so hard to celebrate these minor holidays when they fall in the middle of the week.  Tonight, my son, David, joined us for a hardy meal cooked by my husband . . .

While I ran around bringing a little Valentine flavor to the dinner . . .

The menu:  Mezzi Rigatoni with meatballs alla marinara . . .

And for dessert . . . petit fours!

AND . . . !  I think I'm on theme for a change (Rule of Thirds) - three place settings!  Happy Valentine's Day!

Sweet table setting and adorable petit fours --- and yes, that works in terms of rule of thirds. Happy Valentine's Day!

that looks delicious and your table looks so pretty. I wasn't able to make a special dinner tonight, we were in a rush rush to get the kids to baseball practice and then come home and do homework....life of a busy mamma.

What a cheery table! I love seeing your tablescapes. It is so evident that you love to entertain.

By the way, I made your bundt cake, but used lemon cake mix and lemon pudding...mmmmmm. So moist and delicious!! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
