Watermelon Tablescape

Homage to watermelon . . . one of the joys of summer!

  9. I am a watermelon fan too! We used to have seed spitting contests with my dad when we were little although my mom disapproved of that activity! I always look for the watermelons with seeds now and I think it's juicier. Your table is so pretty and cooooool! Those cupcake holders are cute too. Linda

  10. Maria, these photos are so mouth-wateringly beautiful! They're reminding me that I have not yet had watermelon this year, which is a true travesty. Sadly, I'm not likely to eat it outside because 1) our outdoor area looks to junky; and 2) the mosquitoes would most likely capture me and hold me hostage, demanding not payment of my camera, but the blood of all my loved ones. (This would include you, and I'd NEVER sacrifice you for mere watermelon, so I'm opting to enjoy this delicacy indoors!)

  21. Thank you for your sweet comments on my tablescape. I just had to pop over and check yours out. We were certainly on the same wavelength, weren't we? I really like your napkins and how you have them placed across the plate with the silverware on top.

Those sweet little cupcakes are adorable! The watermelon slices add a nice touch and a freshness to the setting. Really beautiful!

  22. Your tables are always so amazing!! Your watermelon tablescape is SO inviting, especially to a "watermelon lover" like me! You might be interested to know that I purchased an entire set of watermelon dishes from my sister's estate sale a few years ago, but even with those, I don't think my table could ever look as lovely as yours!!
