I so like that term! What a treat, to get to read your writing about the reminiscing about the early 80s! And, were mullets on women called "shags" back then? I don't remember you having a mullet. . . I'm glad the world tolerates a much broader range of clothing these days. We went to an opera in France, and boy did I get serious "stink-eye" based on how I was dressed! Mainly, it was the birkenstock clogs. . . . but that's all my feet could tolerate, but it was a "no-go" among the French fashionista. Scott and Brian and Dianna looked quite elegant, however. Unfortunate, we were total American boors, however, because we all also fell sleep once we sat down and didn't understand a word of what was happening in the opera (The Barber of Seville, sung in Italian, with French subtitles). Doug didn't have a ticket, so he wisely stayed at the hotel and eat chocolate!Angela2932https://www.blogger.com/profile/17740350969313163956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4025137845602567170.post-31142134036619740632010-12-13T07:31:11.888-06:002010-12-13T07:31:11.888-06:00That is one fun date night! I am not looking forward to when my husband and I can up and head out for the evening - maybe because we don't have the luxury of Chicago down the road with an abundant of options. It is cute to picture you and your husband in 80s couture, those were the days!Nickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17236806773789677957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4025137845602567170.post-75223113540604736712010-12-12T19:10:45.920-06:002010-12-12T19:10:45.920-06:00I remember seeing this long ago but have very litt...I remember seeing this long ago but have very little recollection of the plot! I do recall that the costumes were wonderful and I think there was a song about three little maids in school. And the 80's! In '83 we had just moved to NYC and when we went to the theater we dressed up, although not to the level approved of by our elders. Now we go as we are--staying comfortable and warm/cool as the season requires! LindaLinda (More Fun Less Laundry)https://www.blogger.com/profile/14460063428965240523noreply@blogger.com
